Hunters / Preys

This program shows the boids algorithm introduced by Craig Reynolds where flock behaviour emerges from very simple rules. In this applet two different populations, the zombies and the humans, follow their own set of rules:

  • Zombies:
    • Cohesion: zombies stay close to their neighbours
    • Alignment: zombies steer towards the heading of their neighbours
    • Separation: zombies keep a minimal distance from their neighbours
    • Hunger: zombies are attracted by humans
    • Zombification: zombies eat humans
  • Humans:
    • Separation: humans keep a minimal distance from their neighbours
    • Flight: humans run away form zombies
